# Setting your nickname & description

At Open Summer of Code, we'd like you to set your nickname to your full name (only for our server). This way we know it's you and not someone outside of our organisation.

You can set your name for the **#osoc server specifically**, like this:

![](/files/ls8EvIsRyHDHuyti3OEo)

You can edit your description here, for all servers (not just the osoc one) like so:

![](/files/KZFx0GyltVL23O6PiAco)

When you have Nitro you can pay for certain extra's such as editing your description server per server, but we do not reimburse this.

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.osoc.be/global/tools/discord/setting-your-nickname.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
