Introduction: Building Bridges with Bridges

Ward (osoc alumni, was building Bridges at osoc, works at Slowby) Serge (Chair of International Open Recognition Alliance) & Bert (Councillor and partner, at BOSA) will present you Bridges.

The Bridges project aims to improve gender equity in the STEM field by recognizing the skills of women. This to boost the amount of women in STEM education and careers.

Watching the pitches

Now is the time to discover what all teams have been up to this week, and what they all built! Give your colleagues some constructive feedback so they can do better next week.

Tell us about the pitch:

  • What did you like?

  • What could they do better?

About the project:

  • Share tips and tricks, if you have any!

And don't forget to give everyone a wild applause πŸ‘πŸ¦πŸ‘πŸ¦πŸ‘πŸ¦πŸ‘

Be nice or else. We're here to support each other to do a better job. No need to mean or πŸ’© on people's parade – constructive feedback and highlighting wins is *everything*.

Prep for next week

You have all afternoon to prep for next week. This could include:

  • Go over the learnings you got from other teams about your pitch

  • Reevaluate the way you worked together on this hackathon, what could you improve?

  • Decide together what you'd like to build, with a brainstorm or a scoping session for example.

  • Do a retro with the team; what did you like about working together with a team, what would you want to change?

Find your groove. Use this time to get ready to conquer the world... next week.

[optional workshop] Sexual harassment: why react and how? by Plan International NGO

Learn how to help others and yourself! When someone is being harassed, as a bystander you do not always know what to do. Not knowing how to respond or being afraid of getting into trouble yourself are normal reactions. However, any form of action or help can make a world of difference to the victim. Join this session if you want to learn more about this topic and how to intervene.

Bye BOSA!

Big thanks to BOSA for being the perfect host: patient and helpful!
