Introduction – for everyone

Grab a cup of coffee/tea/bubbletea/water and sit back!

Get to know your team & your project – team only

Who’s who & what do you do?

  • Icebreaker; get to know each other!

  • Share your skills, talents hobbies, …

  • Tell us what you can help other people with!

What are we going to do?

  • Define the goal

  • Compose list of questions for partner/client

    • You can compose it together in the folder of your team under meeting minutes

Team & Pitch Prep – team only

Prepare to introduce yourselves to the other teams!

Pitching

Create short pitch (to introduce the team and project, no slides needed). You can base yourself on the project description you made.

    • The sequence of pitches will be the one in the sheet.

  • Pitch

    • 60 seconds – maximum of 6 slides (slides are optional)

    • Pitch the project (biggest part!)

      • Partner

      • Goal

      • For whom

    • Introduce the team

      • Introduce Coaches & students

Say Cheese & Prep your Conversation Starter Profile

Send over a picture of each team member + take a screenshot with students and coaches

  • Make sure you wear your osoc shirt, and if you don't have it (yet), grab a colourful one 🌈

    • Create a team folder in that folder for your team team-name

    • Name each picture team-name-member-name-picture, and if it's a group pic team-name-team-picture

Because it's a remote edition, we set up a cool way to meet other people randomly – with Conversation Starter (founded by a coach of ours, Rutger!)

  1. Today: Set up your profile; make it all about you!

  2. Later this week: You'll get to schedule conversations with people that spark your interest. If you want to let faith decide who you'll meet, we'll pair you with random people!

  3. Monday 12 July in the evening: Let's rolllll

Welcome to open summer of code! You'll get an introduction about what osoc is about, what is, how we work ( & ), what our 4 weeks will be about and what you'll be ✨ ✨.

Study the briefing – You can find the briefing in your !

Summarise project (Β± 200 characters) and put it in this excel sheet .

Decide who pitches – and add it to

The pitcher waits in the waiting room, and will be dragged into the pitching arena whenever they are up! Find out how here:

Pick a team name – also add it to

Create a crest together []

Share the crest in the folder, name it after your project and team name, like so: team-name-crest
